Chapters 173-408 and 173-455 WAC – Landfill Methane Emissions (Fees)
We are starting rulemaking to update two rules:
- Chapter 173-408 WAC, Landfill Methane Emissions – Create a new section to describe how we will charge fees to municipal solid waste landfills to recover the direct and indirect costs associated with implementation of Chapter 70A.540 RCW (Landfills – Methane Emissions) and the landfill methane emissions rule. We are authorized to charge these fees under SB 6151 and RCW 70A.540.130.
- Chapter 173‑455 WAC, Air Quality Fee Rule – Specify that fees created through this rulemaking are not contained in this chapter and can be found in Chapter 173-408 WAC.
