We invite interested public, local and tribal governments to review and comment on updates to Union Pacific Railroad’s Oil Spill Contingency Plan.
The following plan is now available for review:
Washington Administrative Code (WAC) chapters 173-182 and 173-186 require oil handling facilities, pipelines, vessels, and railroads to have a state-approved oil spill contingency plan that ensures their ability to respond to major oil spills. Regulated companies are required to submit changes to Ecology and updates may require a 30-day public review of the updates (WAC 173-186-430).
