Continuing education for well drillers

We approve continuing education units (CEUs) for drillers in Washington and share information about CEU providers and educational opportunities.

Well operators need approved CEUs when applying for or renewing a well operator’s license in Washington. Taking continuing education classes allows drillers to stay informed about job safety, industry changes, and technological advances.

Send proof of your credits

Drillers must send proof of their continuing education before applying for a new license or renewing an existing license.

If you need a new license, read the guide to Washington’s water operator license program for specific dates to send proof of continuing education.
If you are currently licensed, check your license’s renewal date. You must send proof of your CEUs before that date.
